Bullying Prevention

#CNUSDisKind is an anti-bullying and school safety social media campaign aimed at fostering a safe school environment, reducing stigma, spreading positivity, and encouraging students to be kind to one another. The goal is to challenge students, parents, staff, and the community to participate in simple random acts of kindness. Students and staff are encouraged to share their stories of kindness via social media using the hashtag #CNUSDisKind.

WHAT IS BULLYING/CYBERBULLYING?

Bullying is defined as the harassment of students, intimidation, a hazing or initiation activity, ridicule, extortion, or any other verbal, written, electronic communication, or physical conduct, repeated over time, that causes or threatens to cause bodily harm or emotional suffering, creates a hostile learning environment, or disrupts the normal operation of a school, classroom, or school related activity.

Cyberbullying includes the transmission of harassing communications, direct threats, or other harmful texts, sounds, or images on the internet, social media, or other technologies using a telephone, computer, or any wireless communication device. Cyberbullying also includes breaking into another person’s electronic account and assuming that person’s identity in order to damage that person’s reputation.
